Waiting patiently for the Second Coming of Christ…

Cemetery

kernersville_cemetery.jpeg

The Kernersville Seventh-Day Adventist Cemetery and rose garden is located at 740 Gralin St, Kernersville, NC 27284, on nearly an acre of gently sloping land. This beautiful lot is where the original Church was first located.

Today, three of the founding church members are resting there, awaiting Christ’s return, along with William Killen.  Mr. Killen and another colporteur sold the book “Bible Readings for The Home” to founding member Francis Augustin Slate.  It was from these Bible readings that Mr. Slate and his family learned of the seventh-day Sabbath, and so was born the Kernersville Seventh-Day Adventist church.

Twenty-three veterans are also buried in this cemetery.  Each year, close to Veterans Day, the church Pathfinder Club places flags on their graves.  Pathfinders also clean headstones and gather up leaves.

For more information on the cemetery and burial plots, please call us during office hours, Wednesday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., at (336) 996-3777.

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
