About Dr. Yaste:
Dr. Yaste is originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan but also grew up in Fenton, Michigan. He and his wife, Chrissy, have three children – Jeffrey, Lincoln and Sophia – and are members at Seventh Day Adventist Church. In his spare time, Dr. Yaste enjoys running, swimming, biking, mountain biking, motorcycle riding, skiing, hiking and backpacking.
Dr. Yaste earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. He completed his residency in orthopedics at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Having completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine with the Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Jackson, Mississippi, Dr. Yaste received additional training and skills from world-renowned experts in shoulder, knee, elbow and hip arthroscopy.
During his fellowship, Dr. Yaste had the pleasure to train under some of the foremost arthroscopic surgeons in the world, including three former presidents of the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
In addition to shoulder repair, Dr. Yaste offers an alternative to traditional ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) reconstruction in which the function of the original ligament is very hard, if not impossible, to replicate. With the anatomic ACL reconstruction performed by Dr. Yaste, the latest and most promising ACL reconstruction technique is now available in Asheboro, North Carolina.
